Keyword
Definition:
Everyone knows what a keyword is.
This simple idea, however, is grouped into all kinds of categories without any rigorous definitions.
Keywords have a life cycle, and are therefore unique depending upon how you group them.
For example a "keyword needs" to be differentiated from a "theme".
Keyword Density needs to be differentiated from "theme density".
The problem with most keyword research methodologies is that they do not effectively differentiate keyword from themes.
A theme is a keyword or keyword phrase that encompasses a broad agenda or value hierarchy, whereas a keyword can encompass no agenda at all.
At Theme Zoom, when we look at a "keyword" we are thinking in terms of the keyword life cycle, and what species of keyword the word is in relationship to your broad marketing or educational agenda.
