B. Refining Your Long Tail Priorities
Previous Topic  Next Topic

The general hierarchy of SEPS (search engine proven synonyms) importance for advanced users is as follows:

This general priority hierarchy is determined by the impact of these phrases on your overall keyword density within the article, as well as uniqueness in the synonyms ability to broaden your theme (in the case of pure diverse synonyms).

The standard rules of 4 SEPS or less choose 3 X 4 + SEPS = 16 long tail keywords

and the more than 4 SEPS of "7" X 2 + SEPS = 21 long tail keywords

can become more purified by the following exceptions:

In the next step I will show you exactly how to use the current version of Theme Zoom to make priority selections:

A)

Open your Zoom Analysis Screen and make sure that all of your parent themes are available for selection. If you have any doubts deactivate any filters that are currently applied to your Zoom Analysis Screen by toggling the "filter is ON" button to "filter is OFF":

B)

In order to get your SEPS to float to the top of the Zoom Analysis Screen click the TRI Category header:

C)

You should now see your SEPS and Parent Theme has floated to the top of the keyword column. You can compare them to your SEPS indicator to confirm this:

D)

You may notice that your KGO term is still listed, in the case above it is "tattoos".

You may delete this term if you choose, as you will probably not use it from here on out. To delete it click the check box and select the "delete" button. This step is not necessary but useful to know.

E)

You should now check the box next to each SEPS. Do not select the checkbox next to your Parent Theme:

F)

Now you will want to select the "Mark Checked for Blueprint" button:

G)

Now select the "Define Filter" button to sort ONLY the SEPS on the Zoom Analysis Screen.

When you get to the Filter Zoom Analysis Screen, be sure to "Reset Entire Filter"

H)

Select the "Filter by "Marked for Blueprint" filter by putting a check in the box.

I)

You should only have your SEPS left on the Zoom Analysis Screen:

Now you want to select the "Estimated Natural Click Per Day" header column:

J)

As you can see, all of your SEPS have traffic greater than 12 ( > 12 ) so you may apply the above chart to meet your 15 long tail quota:

H)

Pure Diverse Synonyms:

You have no Pure Diverse Synonyms, so you will filter for zero long tails.

I)

Diverse Synonyms:

You have 2 diverse Synonyms. Your total number of SEPS is more than 4 which normally call for 2 long tails, so you will double the long tails you attempt to filter and select.

J)

Partially diverse synonyms will usually remain at about 2 when your total number of SEPS is greater than 4.

I)

Your grand total of SEPS that can help you create the richest possible wide synonymic net is "25" long tail keywords, which exceeds the quota of 14 long tails for 30 keyword articles:

J)

In this event you can simply remove for inclusion within the article, the SEPS themselves. They will be covered by the long tail versions of themselves.

Now that you have evaluated and calculated your long tail priorities (as well as refined them)- you are ready to filter and gather them. We suggest using Microsoft Excel for this function.
